I recently got a new PC that runs with Windows 7 and I'm trying to use it as slave, with an Imac as master. So now I'm trying to create a network between the two computers, and since my knowledge on the matter is very limited I looked for some tutorials. I found this one:

When I go to 'connect to server' in the mac, and type in the PC's ip address it always says that the network may not exist or is not available.
I would really appreciate If anyone who has gone through all this process could help me, because I don't know what to do anymore and I'm getting really frustrated :)

ps. I don't know if it matters, but I'm using an ethernet hub between the two computers because I heard that otherwise I should have a crossover ethernet cable, which I don't have at the moment
