    Hi,

    I dunno if this is the right place, but I just purchased a new Win7 laptop for home use,

    Currently, I use a keyboard workstation (an old Korg) for live gigs. It's getting to the end. I was going to replace that as well with something like a Casio WK7500... prox $500, but then I realised this is 2011... I have extra licenses for NI Komplete and VEP so...

    I was thinking that I'd like to try using the laptop and a MIDI controller as as a 'Rompler' for Kontakt libs.

    Is anyone here using VE for this purpose? Or... other recommended hosts? The main thing for me is reliability. I don't really need 'sequencing'... just quick patch selection for a set list.

    No one?

    It would seem that VEP would be good for this so long as one could switch channels via MIDI controller. Is this possible? I have an M-Audio Axiom 61
