    ...but I have no problem installing directly from the DVDs. The first time this happened violinchamber03.dat couldn't be copied. I reinstalled from the DVD. I tried to move the files again but this time it was violinchamber04. Both times this forced me to stop the copy command. I am copying from a regular HD to a SSD. Solved-- My old hard drive was failing. Good thing I had backups!

    OK this is now happening with Oboe Vienna so I don't think it's a VSL issue but rather a SSD issue. I copied the files from a SSD to a regular drive, now I am trying to copy them back.
