  • Heres a weird idea, but would it work with MIR SE?

Ok I know MIR pro is coming soon and with full MIR there are over 100 instanses that you can load in it. In MIR SE you can only load 32. I can't afford to buy full MIR at this point so my question is this:
What if you bounce all sections (1st violins, altos, trumpets etc.) to individual audio tracks and load the wav-files in to different Kontakt instances. Then play them inside MIR SE with the right positions in the room? Then 32 instances would be enough for full orchestra (poor mans choice =( )

Or is this just a odd/stupid thing to do? It will include some extra work, but anyway.. Are there some things what I should be worried about?

I will get MIR Pro when it comes, but I'm now working on a movie where I would like to have a great sound. I've tried MIR SE trial and I like it. I will buy it right away if this wav-track thing could work =)

  • This _could_ work (with many hurdles to overcome) - but why don't you just record those instruments that don't fit into MIR SE any more seperately and add this audio-file to the mix of the rest of your arrangement ...?
