    I use Cubase and I have a bunch of synths loaded up in Vienna Ensemble Pro. I've got my VE Pro working great, now I'm wondering how do I automate synths that are hosted in it? I.E. how would i gradually raise the cutoff filter of a synth that's hosted in VE Pro that's audio is sent out to Cubase? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

     Two ways:

    1. Assign a CC to the cutoff filter in your synth and send the MIDI CC information from Cubase
    2. Automate your filter by inserting a plug on the VSTi Output in Cubase. Note that this will be filtering the audio return,. rather than using the synths built in feature (if any).

    Thanks very much for the response. I would have responded sooner but the vienna forum did not email me like i had signed up for (Grrr) How do I do number 1? I have no clue lol. Your help is greatly appreciated!
