How to instrall VSL Instruments Pro
Got my USB key in the mail (didn't come with a box, just the key). I believe I entered all the licenses in the eLicenser Control Centre. Now what? I don't see VSL in either Garageband or Logic Pro 8. - Macbook Pro, purchased in 2009 - Mac OS X 10.5.8 - 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - Garageband '08 - Version 4.1.2

Hi Rot,
I have checked your account, and so far I cannot find any registrations of Vienna Instruments Collections - only Vienna Instruments PRO, which is "just" a sample player.
You should still be able to see VI PRO as a player in your sequencer, but there will be no content, if you have no VI Collections installed and registered.
You can also contact us with more details at , if you like. If you have an additional registration, please let me know as well, so that we can merge your accounts!
Best,
Paul

Hi Rot,
We have many products available. What would you like to do / what do your expect from your VI Collection? What is your current setup and your budget?
If you are looking for a great comprehensive tool for virtual orchestrations, you should check out the Special Editions.
We also offer more detailed DVD Collections, but they also have a price tag that should be considered.
Alternatively, you can check out our Single Instruments Downloads as well, but I believe that the Special Editions will work out best for you.
Here is a link to the Special Edition Video Tutorials.
Best,
Paul

Hello Rot,
the Special Editions contain a whole symphonic setup. There are quite a few additional instruments available, but these are much more spezialized.
You also get our sample player, Vienna Instruments, with each VSL product automatically, so you only need a nice reverb additionally (I´m sure that Garage Band offers a reverb).
Best,
Paul

I want to use VSL instruments in Garageband. I don't want any auxiliary software, sequencers, mixers, etc. I only want the instruments. In other words, all I want is to bring up the piano roll and hear it play VSL instruments.VSL instruments can only be accessed via one of the VSL's sample players - VI or VI PRO. If you have purchased VI PRO, you already have the "auxilliary software". After you have purchased a library of your choice, you will be able to access its instruments via VI PRO or VI loaded as an AU-Instrument (for Mac users, I believe) in your host. (Or you use the sample players stand-alone.)
