  • Special Edition confusion

Sorry 'bout this but still don't quite understand the structure of the Special Edition. I read a post stating that the Special + Extended = Full. But on the pricing page, the bundle seems to have a Standard, Extended and Full option with different prices / number of samples. The separate Special and Special Plus also seem to have these options. Does this mean that there are three different specs? thanks.

    Hello SiXiS,

    Welcome [:)]

Here is a quick overview of the Special Edition (scroll down to see which instruments are included in the Standard/Extended Library).

STANDARD Library + EXTENDED Library = FULL Library. That´s true for both products, and for the SE Bundle!

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi paul, thanks for getting back. No, I've been through the site - I'll explain what I'm specifically not getting with regards to specific pages. - http://www.vsl.co.at/en/211/261/314/1605/1277.htm The special edition has three choices Standard (£295) Extended (£395) and Full (£690) http://www.vsl.co.at/en/211/261/314/1606/1278.htm The special edition PLUS also has three choices Standard (£380) Extended (£335) and Full (£715) http://www.vsl.co.at/en/211/261/314/1607/1279.htm And of course the bundle - Standard (£595) Extended (£730) and Full (£1325) What I mean by 'are there three versions' is that if I buy the special edition (full) and the special edition plus (full), then that will get me more than if I buy the special edition (standard) and the special edition plus (standard)? Hope this makes sense. thanks, SiXiS

  • As Paul said: "Standard + Extended = Full"

If you buy the Special Edition standard first, then later buy the Special Edition extended, at that point you will have the complete full Special Edition.

So if you buy the full versions, you get more than if you buy only the standard.

However, if you start with just the standard, the extended libraries will work for a short period of time, allowing you to try them out. After the trial period, you can then decide if you want to purchase the extended license to make the full library work.

  • Thanks for that. I know most will be thinking 'just how thick is this guy' but I still don't get it. -------------------- I get that standard is just standard - the extended is a sort of add on to the standard to make the full. What I don't get is the links I posted earlier. -------------------- What's the difference between these three options? Special edition - Standard (£295) Extended (£395) and Full (£690) Special edition PLUS - Standard (£380) Extended (£335) and Full (£715) Bundle - Standard (£595) Extended (£730) and Full (£1325) -------------------- I'll re-phrase - I keep being told that there's only (one) Standard + Extended = Full. Why three different prices for three 'fulls' (I get the last one is the bundle but they all say full)? Arghh, my brain's melting. -------------------- I'm not usually this stupid but it's just not sinking in.... -------------------- Sorry.

  • Me again..... -------------------- How about this - there are TWO versions of the Special Edition (standard and extended) and TWO versions of the Special Edition PLUS (standard and extended). -------------------- So you can have a 'full' of each (or either i.e. there's not just one 'full'? -------------------- Have I cracked it????

  • Yes, that's it.

Personally I have the Special Edition standard and extended. That means I have the full Special Edition.

I do not have any part of the Special Edition Plus library at all.

  • Hey, thanks for your help. Less confused now. But boy, options options options....
