…of being an amateur composer and being free to make the music I want to make, without any "commercial considerations".
I love experimenting with sound and vision. I am working on a suite of electro-acoustic music called Solar Sailing, unashamedly "Space Music", and this is the second last part of it.

"The Heliopause"
I made it all from many short VSL special Edition Brass, Strings and Woodwinds snippets, using Granular Synthesis and spectrum manipulation techniques.
There are up to 150 layers of sound in some passages in this piece (not recognizable as VSL any more). I must admit that this is total self indulgence without commercial value, and absolutely not most people's taste… but I love doing it, and I listen to music similar to this quite a lot.
Orchestra Abuse? Using VSL for creating the "raw material" has advanced this aspect of my work by a Giant Leap - thanks a lot to the VSL Team!!!
enjoy… ah, well, if you can…
