  • VE Pro not recognizing slaves over network

I am running VE Pro from Sonar X1. I have three farm computers, each running VE Pro server. I have a dedicated gigabit network for my system. Each computer has an assigned ip address; 192.168.2.100, 192.168.2.101, 192.168.2.102, and 192.168.2.103. I can open all three of my slaves from the DAW using remote desktop connection. I can ping all three slaves from the DAW. I've check and verified that all of the computers are running at 1 gig speed and that the dedicated ip addresses are correct. I can't connect to the slaves from VE Pro Sonar. When I instantiate an instance of VE Pro I can't get the connect box to fnd the slaves. Any suggestions?

  • Have you started the server program on the slaves?

Have you switched the Firewall off?

Have you disabled any other network ports?

Have you disabled any anti virus software?

  • @ rjwilliams71 :

Are you sure you installed VEPro and not VE ?

  • Problem solved. It was totally operator error. I downloaded the latest update for VEP and thought I had updated all four computers. Turns out I hadn't updated the DAW. Ron Williams

  • Hello... I'm having the same problem as @rjwilliams71 . All of my slave machines are updated properly... Any clues? Thanks! Drew
