  • VI PRO and Sibelius won't work

Hello! I just stumbled over VI PRO and mostly because of it's polyphonic legato. Now I got the demo and I want to test it out before I buy it. I use it with Sibelius, just made a new instrument by loading Vienna Ensemble, adding a VI PRO channel, loading a violins+ matrix (From VSL Special Edition Plus, got it this week, it is great!) and telling Sibelius in the playback options that the violins are uploaded on the first channel of it and I didn' forget to choose the VE Special Edition Plus options in it and the house style. Well, no matter what kind of articulation I'm writing, I get everything played on snap pizzicato and haven't figured out yet, how to make VI PRO work as well as the normal version together with Sibelius. I tried this with the violas, too. I get the exact same response with snap pizzicatos. Did I forget something important? I need help! By the way, I have a second question, too: I am aware that I can save matrixes. Now I don't know if I pushed it a few times when I messed around with the patches within the matrixes. Is there a possibility to reset the matrixes? Thank you in advance!

  • Yes, I got them for quite a while. (And updated) EDIT: I think I solved the problem. I had to reassign the connections between the Sibelius Channels and the Instrumentchannels on Vienna Ensemble in the Sibelius mixer. Like a miracle the articulations are finally getting played right after that. Probably it is a bug in Sibelius or I need to reinstall Sibelius. Thank you for your attempt to help me Torsten!

  • That would be the next thing I had told you, because I have had the same problems at the beginning. But after IĀ“ve started a new one it worked with the exactly same configuration and I couldnĀ“t found out why [:)]

I do not know if it is a bug, but IĀ“ve been using Sibelius 6.2 and with this version I never got this problems again.

    Regards

    Torsten
