    Open a VE Pro 64 metaframe, and then open a 32 bit metaframe and it loads in the already open VE Pro 64 bit Server?

    I use Vienna Instruments in a 64 bit VE Pro. And I use a metaframe to open it.

    I use Real Guitar 2 in a 32 bit VE Pro. And I have metaframe to open it.

    But what happens is that the first metaframe I open becomes the default server, so when I open the next metaframe both VE Pro sessions load in the already open server. Both load in either the 32 bit or the 64 bit - which ever is open first.

    But I want to run the 64 bit and the 32 bit simultaneously so that VI runs at 64 bit and other plug-ins run at 32 bit.

    Why do not open in the correct 32 or 64 bit Server from which I created them? And saved the metaframe. The metaframes have the correct .mframe64 and .mframe32 extension.

    And I have the latest build of VE Pro and VI.

     I'm not sure what the issue is. You are saying the you are opening two metaframes in the same server, but this is not possible. You can only open one metaframe at a time in a server. Are you sure that you're not talking about viframes?

    Right only one metframe per server. Maybe I missunderstand how a metaframe works. I need to run a 32bit and 64bit instance of VEPro. So I believed I will need a metaframe for the 32bit server and a metaframe for the 64bit server. I open each metaframe so that both the 32 and 64 bit servers each open with their VEPro instances in each. But what happens is that each metaframe puts VEPro into the server already open regardless if it is the 32 or 64 bit server.

    I should add that I am running this all on one Mac. There is no slave Mac.

     Are you loading the metaframe by clicking file/Open metaframe or are you trying to double click the metaframe file itself? If the latter, then don't. [;)]

     Have tried both. I am opening VEPro Server either 32 or 64 and then opening the corresponding mf. And then as I say I open the other server and the right bit mf but it loads into the previously opened Server. If for example I opened the 64 bit server then mf first. And then I open the 32 bit mf it will put those Ensembles into the 64 bit server and tell me it cannot open the plugins - because they are 32 bit plugins.

    if I simply use a VEPro 32 bit server and a single mf it all works as it should. BUt I am trying to run one server and VEPro in 64 bit and one in 32 bit

    if you've a metaframe loaded already, before a server will even open another metaframe you'll have to have exited the first one, & you will be asked if you want to save it first. It won't replace a vi frame without asking you to save the one that's loaded also, which it will close.To add a vi frame to a metaframe, you have to 'add instance' in the server interface othewise this is a 'replace' move.

    This issue is from bizarro world, it shouldn't be possible to have your problem.

    I understand that one server will only open a single metaframe at any one time.

    But I am using the 32 bit server to open one metaframe.

    And then a 64 bit server to open the other metaframe.

    This is possible as I have done it before... I think. But it is not working now.

    This way a 32 bit instrument like Real Guitar can use the 32 bit server and 64 bit instruments like Vienna Instruments can use the 64 bit server. And I can use a metaframe to open each server. As metaframes are saved as .32 and .64 versions. These are two different metaframe file extensions.

    I think you are opening a 32-bit frame while the 64-bit server is selected. It's the only thing that makes any sense here. You want 32-bit server, *make sure to* click on that server's window before opening a 32-bit frame.

    OK, I've tried to reproduce this problem, and can't. Either the incorrect server is in focus (as suggested above) or there is a system specific problem. i suggest you contact support@vsl.co.at so that they can help you this this issue. Make sure that you are using the latest versions of all software though (including eLicenser), because this will be the first thing you are asked. [;)]

    I am having the exact same issue. I have two pre-saved metaframes, one utilizing a 32-bit, server, and one utilizing a 64-bit. I start one of them and it loads up. When I load the second metaframe, the VEP instances in the second metafame (what should be a second server) open inside the first server, i.e. I am left with one server, either 64-bit or 32-bit, which ever I started first. Obviously, I need two servers - one for each architecture. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks.

    launch the 64 bit server, then open a metaframe for it from the menu; now do the same thing with 32 bit server. If this does not work, you have a very peculiar problem that a person with a working system simply can't replicate, and you need to contact support.
