  • Just to be sure, transposing the cell only affects incoming MIDI data, right?

The transpose function that's available when editing a cell on the Patch Assign screen only affects the incoming MIDI data (for example, with a value of "2," hitting C3 on my keyboard will trigger the D3 sample to be played instead), correct? It's not actually pitching the samples?

I'm planning on doubling-up some patches and I know a popular method is to transpose the MIDI track up and pitch bend (via pitch wheel) the patch back down. However, I'd rather do the transposition inside the VI player instead of setting some MIDI offset on the track in my DAW.

I've been testing things out and I'm pretty sure this is what I'm hearing... but it's late and my mind is starting to play tricks on me. [;)]

    ...

    It doesn't pitching the samples.

The only functions which are pitching the samples are "Master Tune" and the effect "PitchBend"
