    I am looking at getting started with VSL and am ready to make a few purchases.

    If I purchase SE to get started can I move to downloads after that?  I want to start out with just the standard on DVD then move to the rest (as finances permit) as downloads.  I really like the idea of picking and choosing as I go based on my needs.

    I am sure this has been asked before (forum needs a search).  [:)]

    Also, does anyone know if the Euro-Dollar conversion is set daily rate or a fixed rate?

    Yes switch from Special Edition DVD to Downloads is possible with 1 Exception:

    If you buy Special Edition Standard you can not get Special Edition Extended Downloads (Strings, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion).

    However you can get

    • Any Download Instrument (not Special Edition): http://vsl.co.at/en/211/496/802/951.vsl
    • Any Special Edition Plus Collection (Strings, Brass, Woodwind) (Standard and aftewards Extended)

    Read the user threads here in the forum about the download / DVD upgrade paths and choose wisely.

    When you need something really special without the need for upgrading later on,  the download version is O.K.

    If not, better stick to the DVD with full rights to upgrade and save money towards other extended collections without evtl crossgrade hassle and incompatibility problems.
