Hi
What kind of performance issues would I have if I installed the VSL library on an external drive that was connected via Firewire 400 rather than 800?
Thanks,
Jet
very bad performance
you should look for eSata
Best
Cyril
Hi Jet,
with a portable setup, FW800 makes sense. To be honest, I have often used USB as well... eSATA is of course the best possibility.
Best,
Paul
Thanks Guys,
Ive got a 2010 version 15" MBP, with no express slot. No way to connect with eSATA. FW800 is my best choice.
so your best solution is change your internal drive so you can put your lib on to 540 gb with ssd or FW800
