HI folks. Quick question. What exactly is decorrelation? What does it affect? The VS manual is a bit sparse on the topic, and i was just wondering how modifying this parameter affects the sound. Thanks in advance :)

Vienna Suite Reverb: Decorrelation
-
In short: Decorrelation makes a stereo-signal "less mono", more diffuse, broad and thus more enveloping. This is very pleasant for the actual reverb tail, especially when the orginal IR is a bit narrow, but you gave to be careful if you don't want to destroy the positioning cues in the early reflections. That's why there's a dedicated envelope for the decorrelation amount.
