  • VE Pro continually scans for licenses

    Hi all.

    Three computers, 1 master, 2 slaves. Slave 2 works fine, and slave 1 was working fine until yesterday. As soon as VE Pro starts, it starts to scan for licneses, and does nto stop. The dongle is plugged in, and the light is on. Tried another usb port - doesn't work. Have not changes anything on the computer. No updates - no installs. Nort sure whay it would just stop working...

    In any event, can someone please tell me what I need to do to get running again?

    --edit--- ok, just swapped dongles, and the #2 dongle does not work in the #1 comp, whereas the #1 dongle does  work in the #2 comp. So, it's not the dongle. synopsis.exe is in fact running on slave 1 (the problem comp) and I have the latest synchro vers.


  •  If you are still using a Syncrosoft driver you don't have the latest one, because that is the eLicenser.

  •  Sorry if I wasnt clear enough. When I said "I have the latest synchro vers" I meant that I have the elicenser - its vers 611111042. The dongle shows in the elicenser center. Not sure what is going on.....

    Hi Jeff,

    we have improved the license scanning with the latest software updates (the older ones use the "vsldaemon.exe", which could get in the way).

    Please make sure to use the latest versions of Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble on all computers!
