Hi to vsl,
I have just paid for the licences for VIP, and I am just wondering if it is possible to use VI pro in MIR yet?
thanks if you can let me know.
best,
Steve :-)

Hi Dietz,
thanks so much for that extra info. That was a bit of anxiety for me for a short time, but I just discovered tonight that when I go to VI Pro, all of my patches and matrices from my libraries load into VI Pro [Fantastic!!].
I am not really sure though how to open matrices I constructed myself as Vienna Instruments inside a VIFrame set up. I do have a folder where I store all of my custom built presets and matrices, but I am not sure how to get VIPro to open that folder.
I tried to find where one saves the files by making a file and seeing where it was saved, but it seems to save it directly on the interface.
I have also discovered something else interesting with opening a VIFrame file in the new VEns update. I have just opened a VIFrame file in the new Vienna Ensemble I downloaded today, and on the file part, it gives the option to "convert project to Vienna Instruments Pro...", and when I click on this option, it asks me "Do you want to save changes to this project?", and if I click "yes" or "no",it gives me the option of opening a VIFrame file, not saving it as I thought it would do.
I am obviously doing something wrong here, or maybe I am expecting it to do something different from what is intended by the term "convert project to VI Pro"...I am not sure, so If you can point me in the right direction here, I will be very greatful for you to do so.
best regards,
Steve.
ps. I'm downloading the MIR room pack trial version as I write this, and I am really looking forward to trying MIR SE out!
Hi Dietz,
just a quick update - I went into VEns again, and I opened up a project that I had tried to convert to having VI Pro instances and it opened up with all of the instruments, but they were all now instruments in the form of VI pro instruments! I must have done it correctly!
So, that's great!
best regards,

The "Convert Project to Vienna Instruments Pro..." menu item works the same as the "Open Project..." menu item, except that it converts VI instances to VI Pro during loading. It is actually explained in the manual and described in the status bar of VE when you hover over the menu item as well.
