  • Going back to 6844 FIXES drop out problem that started in 6853

Ok I can definitely confirm that all my drop out and CPU spiking problems have stopped 100% since I went back to 6844.

I felt it was important to start a new thread on this as there are others with different sequencers and host slave configs having the same problem.

Now Karel has said that there is a fix coming for them but I'm not sure about our situation (they are using Cubase)

I'm using PTools as my sequencer and I have a Master and Slave computer.

I'm just letting you know that  this is a major problem and it started with 6853.

I've spent a week trouble shooting this and blaming Kontakt. It's not Kontakt.

It's not caused by having Multithreading selected in either VEP or Kontakt.

It's caused by VEP version 6853.

Now I know not everyone is having the problem but it's not only me experiencing this.

So will the fix that's coming for Cubase users also fix our (same) problem?

  • That would be strange, as there is no difference whatsoever between 6844 and 6853 that could possibly cause this.

  • Test: Run a sequence piano part in PTools on Master with build 6853 running Kontakt on Slave and Addictive Drums. Dropouts every 2 minutes from Piano and drums.

Run the same except with 6844.

    No dropouts at all.

    Please explain.
