I had a stable and running system. I purchased and installed Vienna Instruments Pro and now my VE Pro keeps crashing. I can get 1 instance activated but as soon as I go for another it crashes. I've re-started the cpu a number of times and do what I normally do but it's not functioning. Two things - is I uninstall Vienna Instruments Pro will the program open up the way it did before, with plain old Vienna Instruments? And second, any idea what could be causing this? I'm in the middle of two many things so I have no time to trouble shoot. I just need to get back and up and running again. Thanks.

Yes - absolutely. I just uninstalled VI Pro and repaired disc permissions and I am up and running again. I am not going to re-install VI Pro until I know for sure that it won't cause me any more issues - I cannot have any more down time.
Quick end-of-day update - worked perfectly the rest of the day, so there is definitely something that VI Pro introduced into my system which prevented me from working.

I am sorry to hear about the problems you experienced with Vienna Instruments Pro!
But obviously the Permission Repair has already resolved the issue, since VE Pro by default calls up an instance of VI Pro, no matter wether it is actually installed as an application, as long as there is a valid license to VI Pro on the connected eLIcenser(s), like in your case!
If you find the time, please give it a try and reinstall the latest version of VI Pro to see if the issue is indeed resolved or if the crashes are reproduceable!
