VE Pro dll and Finale

Hi,

I've been using Finale with the Garritan Orchestra samples for a long time and the VSL Special Edition in Sonar and Logic.  Now I would like to use my VSL instruments in Finale.  I checked out the instructions for doing that in this website, but I guess I'm not understanding something.  First, I'm using Windows 7.  I can't seem to find a VE or VSL dll on my computer.  Does anyone know where I should look?  I ran a search and nothing comes up.

Hello utremifa!

The dll files are called "Vienna Ensemble.dll" or "Vienna Ensemble Pro.dll". In Finale go to MIDI/Audio/Device Setup/Manage VST Plugins. There you can add plugin directories and manage which plugins you want activated and deactivated.

Hi Andi,

I just can't seem to find the dll's.  I've run a search under the names you've given me and nothing comes up.  I've looked in the VE Pro Program folder and don't see any dll's.  I've also checked under the VST folders and Common folders and again, nothing.  Not sure what else I can do.

Hi Vince!

In this case I recommend reinstalling VE (Pro). You can choose the folder for the plugin during installation.
