    What does VE Pro have that would benefit me using it on a single computer? I currently have no need to run a 2nd computer. From what I can gather VE Pro is designed mainly to be used in a master-slave situation. Is there much difference between VE Pro and VE when running it on the host computer?

    • VE Pro allows all the major VST formats to be housed in one area-EastWest's Play, Native Instrument's Kontakt for example can all be inserted into VE Pro.
    • Vienna Instruments Pro will only load into VE Pro, it will not load into VE.
    • VE Pro is faster than VE at reading the installed patches. If you have only 5-10 GB of patches, fine, stay with VE. If you have 100 GB of patches, better upgrade.
    • Vienna Stuite will only load into VE Pro.

    The "Preserve" function alone is worth the price of admission IMHO. The sample libraries are loaded separately from the sequencer project, which allows instantaneous switching back and forth between projects, while *at the same time* saving the VEP settings and used plugins inside the project file.

    Vienna Suite will load in any VST/AU/RTAS host, not just VE Pro.

    According to Paul from VSL (in other topics here), there will be an update soon to VE which will also allow VI Pro

    I meant to say Vienna INSTRUMENTS would only load into VE Pro not VE.

    VI is integrated in both VE and VE Pro. VI Pro is only integrated in VE Pro (if you have a license). Soon an update of VE will follow that also has VI Pro integration however.
