  • Vienna Ensemble PRO & PLAY

Is PLAY now suppose to work in VE-PRO (64-bit) on the Mac?  If so, I'm not seeing it show up as one of the choices.  I know that in Logic, one would have to first select it in Logic 32-bit mode then it would show in Logic 64-bit mode.  Wasn't sure if the same thing is happening here and there is something special I need to do?

    I would appreciate any recommendations.....

    Thanks,

  •  PLAY can't work in VE Pro 64bit on OSX because there is no 64bit version of PLAY. Run the 32bit server and it should appear.

    Hi DG,

Yea, that makes sense.  I thought it was 64-bit with the last release but guess not.  The whole Logic thing where you have to first bring it up in Logic 32-bit before it shows up in Logic 64-bit confused me.  I guess I was thinking it was 64-bit but confirmed that it's using the 32-bit wrapper in Logic........

    Thanks....

Chuck, it's not 64bit because there are no 64bit PACE drivers for OSX. Therefore any plug that uses an iLok has to be 32bit on OSX.
