    Hello! I am very happy to own Vienna MIR now, but i still have some questions. (i've read the manual but would like to make everything clear) That post may seem stupid but i really need some help.. The main question is - which setup to go for: 1 machine with MIR and sequencer on it or 2 machines with MIR on PC1 and sequencer on PC2? 1) First of all i would like to know if there is any point in going for 2-machines setup if i only got one soundcard (beside those that are built-in) and i'm not quite sure if its multi-client.. (e-mu 1820) Would it be possible to work on a slave PC with e-mu soundcard on it and run MIR on a main machine with a built-in audio device just sending audio data to a slave? In the end i need to be able to edit what i've recorded using midi interface. So i think it should look like this (correct me if i'm wrong): i play the keyboard connected to a slave machine (which is running sequencer) and midi data goes to the main PC with MIR running on it, MIR sends the audio signal back to slave so i could hear what i'm playing. Do i understand things right? If so, then tell me please how the things are done when it comes to exporting the project. Do i have to make my sequencer play midi (sending it to MIR) and record the audio received from MIR-machine at the same time? 2) If everything is right, then i guess that latencies would be huge.. Please tell me more about the latency on a 2-machines setup. I'm sorry for my english. Thanks everyone who is going to reply )

    The setup you have in mind definitely makes sense:

    For recording, just route the audio signal of MIR back to your audio workstation on behalf of a digital connection if you want to record it.

    BTW - just in case you missed it: MIR's manual just got reworked and now contains a new chapter with detailed information on integration. One of the examples I gave is exactly the scenario you outlined above.
