  • Time stretch question

So, the time stretch feature it's nice. It work very good and the results are great.

But, is not matching host tempo and ok i am aware of this. The chance i have is to set a percentage without pre listen the result. (???)

I am sure there are technical reasons and please apologize in advance if i misunderstand.

But in this way i have to "try and try" to match the correct tempo i need. So, it's possible to calculate the percentage needed to get the right result ?

Or : it's possible to add a feature expressing the percentage in terms of bpm ?

    Many thanks

  • ...I agree... and I ask too just the same!  [;)]

    Thanks!

  •  I'm sure that this will be possible in the future, but it has already been stated that there is no metadata available yet.

  • Ok, thanks, looking forward for ......

  • Isn't this a math101 matter?

    Percentages.

    Maybe I don't understand.

While we wait for VSL to add metadata with tempo-information to their libraries, you should be able to calculate the correct tempo without too much of an effort.

tsa = ct/dt * 100, where tsa = timestretch amount, ct = current tempo, dt = desired tempo.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. 😊

Hi. This information can be found in the patch/matrix/preset-guide for each library. No tempo is noted for glissandi-patches though.

    Hope this helps.
