3 Flugelhorn demos

Here are 3 demos dedicated to VSL newest instrument, the flugelhorn.

The 1st shows a more laid back style in a 1939 song, and the 2nd is more traditional. The 3rd, added later, is more uptempo.

great demos as ever Guy.

You've written some very high notes which don't strike me as characteristic of the flugelhorn which in orchestral/band circles is used as a mellow singing instrument in the middle and lower range in contrast to the trumpet. It's great to have that range though. What is the sample range? Jazz flugel might be different though but thats not my field.

Yes, I have Dave, but it's only a few notes, but my main intention was to give an idea of the range, to not think it's only low notes. 

I put in a new mix of Mountain Top Serenity, which emphasizes the lower harmonics.

I added this uptempo demo, for flugelhorn and piano, which features shorter notes and repetition notes. Obviously a side not as characteristic of the instrument as the smoother lines, but it shows other possibilities.
