Thanks for the quick reply.
I assume that you are referring to the Vienna Instruments, and I also assume that you are working with the latest version of Vienna Instruments (2.1.5740), ist that correct?
Yes
If the Vienna Instruments open, then it should work with all its features. I have not heard of a similar case in the 4 years that the Vienna Instruments have been on the market.
I would agree up until this problem started.
Could it be that there is a MIDI conflict that is causing this, like multiple MIDI Inputs selected for a VI instance, or a MIDI loop?
In Logic I have one track only on the Arrange window assigned to one VI instance.
This is set to midi channel 1
In any case, I´d suggest to uninstall Vienna Instruments with the included un-installer, then re-install it. Also, check your environment in Logic - the best way to go is to start with an empty song (not your default song).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I don't think you mean the library content which is on another external drive.
I even uninstalled Vienna Ensemble 2 and puchased Vienna Ensemble Pro and installed it.
Another question: What happened before VI stopped working? Any upgrades, new programs, new controllers?
I did install Kontact 4 (free) but this was when I was using VE 2 and not VE Pro(which I knew had an issue of compatibility)
But since this problem happened I uninstalled Kontact 4 just to make sure
I was also on MacOS 10.5.8
It was reccommended that I upgrade to Snow Lepard which I did. But this was after the problem started.
I installed it with hopes of fixing the problem.
