Hi to the forum,
I have been working fairly hard on a piece of music using vsl, but I am having a problem with my DAW. I am actually now downloading the update hoping that may fix the problem.
What is happening is that when working on the audio mix, I added some more plug ins to the mix, and then when exporting it as audio in "real time" as I usually do, the export function crashed on me, giving me a message saying that the disc overload. This has happenned a number of times. And sometimes it does export, however, most of the time, it is not doing so when I add the extra plug ins that I have [I am already using plug ins, but I just wanted to use more].
However, it will let me export the audio mix if I turn the "real time" audio export function off.
In listening to the resulting audio mix, it actually sounds quite good, but I was under the impression that exporting the file in "real time" was the "best" way of doing things to get a great sounding finishing mix.
So, I am hoping that someone can inform me about this real time function. Is there a noticeable difference between exporting in real time and not in real time?
thanks if anyone has some thoughts on this.
thanks and best,
Steve.
