Muted Strings
I am considering purchasing Chamber Strings II, Solo Strings II and/or Appassionato Strings II. Can anyone offer their opinions on the quality of these libraries compared to the unmuted Chamber Strings I, Solo Strings I and Appassionato Strings I. It;s a sizable investment for me and I want to do some research and get some opinions from other used of the muted strings regarding how liked them.
Thanks for any opinions

I just listened to the Shostachovich op.43 (Solo Strings II) and to the Bacos piece (Chamber Strings II) in the audio demos, and I think the tone is excellent! [Y]

Hi Composer321
You will get the same quality and amount of samples with the "damped" string libraries as you got with the Strings I.
Listen to all the available demos.
It depends a bit on the music you want to play. In the classical literature it is not a "matter of everyday" (damped strings).
But if you are the composer it is up to you to use the Strings II as often as you like it.
Further, mixing two libraies makes a lot of sense and gives even more a real feeling just as you can get it with mixing Strings I.
Example: Play unison Appassionatas with Chambers or Chambers with the Solo Strings...
All the best

Hello again, Composer321
I was not quite correct! Sorry!
There are some articulations missing with the II-Strings. Runs and other Special-Sounds are not included. I recommend to compare
the tables with the articulations of both types. (for example http://vsl.co.at/en/211/442/344/1341/1501/1116.htm)
Nevertheless, I personally never missed articulations while playing Strings II - Libraries.
