Latest Vepro Update not working on win 7
While the latest update works on my Mac it does not on my Win 7 64x machine. Even with the latest elicencer Software my dongle and therefore my licence is not recognized on Win 7. This did work before the update! This is really frustrating. Every time you update your stuff we have to deal again with this syncrosoft garbage - sometimes even with beta versions (on osx) to make the software we paid for run again. I would really appreciate if you would tell us on a regular basis when we have to update your copy protection software again. Considering another protection would be huge plus. I have a codemeter dongle for my Propellerheads products and this thing works just flawless. Even an iLok is a pleaseant experience compared to synchrosft. Just my 2 cents...

Dear Martin,
It´s always a good idea to update your eLicenser Software, so that the database is up to date.
If the ViennaKey is not recognized, this could also have to do with the power supply of the USB Port. Did you try another port?
Whenever we release a public beta version with a critical bug-fix, this has of course been tested on all machines we and our beta-team could get our hands on. The "public beta" label should keep you from upgrading to this version if you are in the middle of a project and you´re running out of time, as there could be troubles on some system configuration. Hard to test them all with all possible combinations of hard- and software out there.
Best,
Paul

Hello Paul, I updated to release 6150. As far as I know this is no beta version. Ve Pro was working on the same Win 7 machine before. It's - as always - a syncrosoft problem, not a ve Pro problem. Of course I tried different usb ports. No difference. I'll probably have to wait for the next elicencer update... Martin

Did you try running from a fresh reboot?
Yes, I did reboot. Today I finally got it to run with an older Syncrosoft control center (5.5.20.01010). With the latest syncrosft version there seems to be a driver installation problem. Win 7 x64 professional does not find the driver when you insert the usb-dongle. I assume the syncrosoft installation does not save the driver to the location where Win 7 it usually finds. I am sure this can be done manually. But from a user standpoint I must say that it seems wrong to me, that I spend more (installation and trouble shooting) time with the copy protection that with your program. And again I am wondering that VSL sticks with the Syncrosoft protection although there are better working systems like codemeter that are secure and easy to use.
