Can Sibelius automatically loads patches in hosted Kontakt instances?

Is it possible for Sibelius to automatically load Kontakt patches into a Kontakt player hosted inside VE Pro? Right now, I have to use a manual soundset and manually load the patches. Thanks.

Hello EP!

I just tried it on Mac OS 10.5.8 with Sibelius 6.2, Kontakt 4 and VE Pro build 6150. All the loaded programs in Kontakt (which was hosted by VE Pro) were saved with the Sibelius Playback Configuration and were reloaded after closing and reopening Sibelius.

Remember to always save your Sibelius Playback Configuration after doing changes to any of the loaded instruments.

Hi Andi, Thanks for your response. When hosting the Kontakt Player directly inside Sibelius, Sibelius is capable of determinating the patches required by a score and it will automatically loads the patches and maps the channels to the staves in the score. This is done without user intervention. No initial set up in Kontakt Player is required. Sibelius instructs Kontakt Player to load the patches based on the library ID and the patch ID specified in the soundset file when the PatchLoadMechanism parameter is set to Kontakt. What you mentioned in the previous post, I think requires an initial set up in Kontakt Player. I also hope that the new VI Pro will let Sibelius load the VSL patches using the assigned IDs. Thanks.

I see. I guess I misunderstood your initial question. Sorry to say, that such a function is currently not available for VE or VE Pro.
