  • [SOLVED] No MIDI devices are configured, no sound

Hi everyone and thanks in advance if anyone can help me with this. When I open VE or the Stand-alone player I get a Device Configuration Warning which reads, 'No MIDI devices are configured. Please review Audio/MIDI preferences' and an 'OK' button which takes me to the Audio/MIDI preferences dialogue. Several audio devices are listed in the audio devices tab. Regardless of which device I select, I cannot hear any sound when I load presets, matrices or patches. If I select one of the audio devices I can click on a panel button to open the 'Sound' dialogue with tabs for Playback, Recording, Sounds, and Communications, but I'm not sure what to do once I'm here. I don't use any MIDI input devices (keyboards, etc.) and my Sibelius plays back its own bundled sounds without difficulty so I'm not sure what the MIDI problem is. Also, I can create and hear regular MIDI tracks in Cubase. I had Vienna working fine on my old computer (XP) but on Windows 7 (64 bit) I'm less familiar with the Operating System and can't find my way around this problem so easily. Once again, I'd really appreciate any help anybody might be able to offer. Thanks Adam
