    Hi

    I got a new Mac and I run the latest VSL Software on Snow Leopard, Logic 9.

    When I open songs from my old computer everything seems to be fine, the player is loaded on every track, but in the player are no instruments defined. 

    Any ideas?

    Which VSL Software and which version do you have installed? Did you assign the content in Directory Manager?

    Its version 4.0. I have the special edition 1&2, appassionata, upright and choir.

    I did assign the content in Directory Manager, I can also open an instrument and play it, all fine, except, if i load an song from the old computer the plugins are empty, no instruments are loaded. I can reload them, but its an unrealistic amount of work, plus, I dont remember all the instruments I used...

    Dear Marnix,

    I have the same problem. Do you have a solution?

    I am in big trouble finishing my project, because VI do not load the instruments assigned in the songs composed on an PPC Mac.

    - Same VI version on both computers. Old computer: G5 Quad OSX 10.5.8, New Computer Intel 12 Core with 10.6.4.

    Latest VI Software on both.

    Hi Klaus,

    Please make sure that the sample content is assigned correctly in the Directory Manager. To be safe, open the Directory Manager, remove all folders and assign them again by drag and drop from your Finder.

    That should make everything work again!

    Dear Paul,

    thanks for the ultrafast reply. Sadly the Directory Manager did not solve the problem.

    The Libraries are correct in place, as they were before but the assigned Instruments in the Songs are not loaded.

    To be precise - all Vienna Libraries are present and assignable but in Songs I composed with my old Computer,

    the Patch Assign Windows on the left side of the Vienna Instruments are empty.

    If I make a new Song, on my new Computer everything is fine.

    Any Idea?

    P.S. I have the same problem as Silvercity above (from 06-07-2010)

    And it is not an old-new Vienna Problem - both computers have Vienna Instruments 2.1installed.

    The problem occur in both - Logic 8 and Logic 9.

    Can the new Vienna Instrument Pro load old Sessions? So I can buy it and can work along.

    And finally - is it normal that there is an Osascript running, for what I have to enter my Admin password, when I open Vienna Instrument in standalone.

    settings created with older versions of Vienna Instruments are not loading on newer versions - though there is a work round.

    Hi Julian,

    thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this is not my problem, I work with Vienna Instruments Vers. 2.1 on both Machines.

    The described problem concerns only older VI and the new 2.1 Version.
