    Hi Everyone, I just purchased VSL SE edition few months ago, and I'm really enjoying it. But then I got the great idea to buy a brand new computer ... there was the problem ... So I install Elicencer, Vienna instrument, I start installing my instruments samples. But there is the problem, when I launch Vienna instrument, I can't see any patch or instruments while the patch are well installed ! I tried to deal with directory manager, I entered the well folder of the instruments into the directory manager, but vienna instrument still do not find my instruments ... ( By the way, same problem with vienna ensemble). I'm using Win7 64 bits, if it can help. Here is my config : Intel core 2 quad Q9550 / Motherboard P5Q pro turbo / 8 go RAM Somebody help me please, I'm getting crazy about it ! Thanks in advance for your kind help. Regards, Charles.

    Hello Charles,

    There is a minor bug when installing the latest version of Vienna Instruments on Win7 AFTER installing an older version (like the one on the Software CD).

    Until a fix is available, please restart your computer, then delete the following folder:
    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\VSL

    Re-run the Directory Manager, then start Vienna Instruments. The proper content should now be visible. If it is not visible, please assign your sample content once again by drag and drop from your Explorer/Finder.

    Sorry for the inconvenience, a fix will be a available with the next Vienna Instruments upate.

    Hello Paul, Thanks for your quick repply ! Just some precision about the software, I only installed the latest version of Vienna Instrument on this computer, not any older version because I purchased my VSL SE as downloaded product and I only have the latest version availlaible on the website, and moreover, I only purchased it few weeks ago. Anyway, I tried exactly what you told me but it does not work. I restart my computer, then I delete the whole folder " C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\VSL " then I launch Vienna Instrument but the patch are not visible. So I start the manager directory and re assign the samples by drag and drop and restart the Vienna Instrument, but patch are still not visible ... Really don't know what to do ... any other tips ? I'm gonna try to uninstall and reinstall again the vienna and librairie. Thanks by advance for your comments. Best Regards, Charles.

    Hi Charles,

    just to avoid the main pitfall: the Special Edition Download Collections do not contain any presets, "only" matrices and patches.... Did you check in "matrix assign" and "patch assign"?

    Hi Paul, Actually, don't ask me why, but it works now. I just installed my host, and then it was okay, I could see the patch and matrix again in the vienna instrument and vienna ensemble. I really don't know how I fixed the bug, that's pretty weird, but it works, so I'm happy ! Anyway, thanks a lot for your support. Best Regards, Charles.

    Hello navarrojerome,

    One more possible solution I didn´t mention yet: Restart your machine, then search for "vsldirs1.ini" and delete all found files. Then add the sample content again in the Directory Manager.

    I also assume that you are logged in as the administrator and that the security settings of your firewall / anti-virus programs are not too high.

    If that didn´t work, please contact me at , and we´ll go through the steps once again.

    From Vienna Instruments Plugin witch I bought 2 years ago and fro MATRIX ASSIGN I lost the classical guitar Plugin, the classical guitar was under the Keyboards folder, I format again the all packet of 50 giga Plugins but again I didn't show the folder.     Hi,

    You have registered Special Edition Volume 1 (in April 2010).

    Not sure what you mean by "giga plug-ins", these have nothing to do with Vienna Instruments.

    Mr Paul thanks to you for your answer, but from the Special Edition vol.1 when I open the MATRIX ASSIGN, there is no classical guitar Plugin, but one month ago I had the Plugin into the matrix, what I am going to do? I must by the package of classical guitar? or I am going to instal again Vienna. All my best Vassilis
