  • [SOLVED] Losing all my VEPro configuration settings in Sibelius

    Sorry me again!

[I do try for hours trying to sort it out myself before I ask for help though...]

But I keep on losing my Playback Configuration in Sibelius every time I restart Sibelius.

Just today, from trying to tweak some of my soundsets, I have had to completely re-do my whole Playback Configuration 4 or 5 times (i.e. when my saved configuration loads up, I have lost all my VEPro 'active devices', so have to go through the whole process again of loading all my samples, assigning tracks in the Sibelius mixer, setting up channels etc)

Only to lose it all again if I have to re-start Sibelius!!  (i.e. if I'm changing my soundsets or turn my pc off)

Is this something to do with connecting to the VEPro x64bit server?? Am I not checking a box somewhere?

I obvioulsy click 'save' when I have finished setting up my own Playback Configuration in Sibelius.

When I start Sibelius and load a score, it asks me if I want to switch to my saved configuration, but none of the VEPro active devices come up in either the VEPro server box, or in 'active devices' in Sibelius.

Its sooo frustrating I've been at it all day now... [:(][:(]

    Am I doing something wrong??

  • Well I think I've worked it out!

I thought I could rename my 'active devices' to something like 'violins' or 'cellos' but apparently not! [:P]

When I tried it without renaming the 'active devices', Sibelius recognised VEPro and thus, loaded up my Playback Configuration. Hurrah!

    Well now I know!

    Onward and upwards! Tally ho!
