"no midi devices are configured" / Win 7 x64

I experience a strange VePro bug/problem. I am on Win 7 x64. Tried to run Protools LE 8.03cs1 with Win7 beta drivers for MBox with VePro. I installed the latest version and created a shortcut to the desktop from Vepro 64 server in the VSL diretory. When I start the server VePro 64bit server by clicking on this shortcut it tells me everytime that I need check on my midi preferences (no midi devices are configured). Pretty stange but I can reproduce this again and angain. Is there a way to avoid this?

It sounds like you've set a shortcut to the standalone, rather than the server.

I think you a right. But what I do not understand: When I use the search function in win7 I get 4 results for ensemble pro shortcuts and all show the same folder in programs. But when I open this folder I can see only 2 ensemble pro files (obviously the stand alone versions). So where is the server located?

Hi mmueller,

all shortcuts for VE PRO can be found in the Start menu => All programs.
