    I got a bad message installation during the 3rd DVD of Vienna SE. Is there a way to un compress the DVD in differente moment of the day? Is there a way to keep at least the instalation of the first 2 DVD , without losing all job? I lost almost 2 hours waiting for installation and now I have to restart, How bad is this instalation Procedure? any ideas?

    Hi jorkax,

    we are sorry to hear about your installation trouble.

    First of all, I´d suggest to repair permissions with help of the tool <disk utility> (/Applications/Utilities/) -> select your Mac OS X startup volume in the column on the left of the Disk Utility window, then click the <Repair Disk Permissions> button.

    During installation it might help to wait a few minutes each time before inserting the next DVD to prevent your drive from overheating (which might have caused the erratic behaviour you encountered).

    An active anti-virus application or a firewall in stealth mode might interrupt installation too. Please deactivate these. Make also sure that your Vienna Key is connected to an USB hub on your Mac and that it contains the permanent license for the Special Edition.

    Instead of installing the content from the DVD´s you can also copy all content files and install them from a location on your computer.
