     Holy Cow!   I just started playing with the microphone settings in MIR and they make a huge difference.   They seem to greatly affect the color, size, position and direction of both the instruments and the refections.

    When it comes to microphones and their use I know NOTHING. 

    So I'm beggin someone (Dietz :)) to create a short description of the microphone presets.  What are the main characteristics, strengths, weakness and common usage situations for the different microphones?  Just a few sentences for each would be a big help and you could include this info in the pdf MIR manual.

    Trial and error is of course one way for me to use these presets but I'd prefer to have a slightly deeper understanding if possible.

    There are also good books on the topic, like the already "classic" Stereo Sound book [URL]http://www.stereosoundbook.com/[/URL].

    Still I keep your suggestion in mind, and I will try to incorporate these topics in the manual, but please don't expect this for the next week ;-)
