Been trying to load an instance of VE Pro as a software instrument in Logic, but whenever I try to connect to an instance on a slave computer, Logic stalls and won't respond anymore. I'm using VE Pro build 4834 with Logic 9.0.2. Anyone else having this issue?

For some reason, I was able to get VE Pro to connect to the server before [same build] - not sure what has changed [still crashing at the moment]. But the other issue I had was this: when VEP did connect, I had issues of playback in Logic. Perhaps this is a Logic issue, and I posted the same problem on the Logic forums, but when I let a few bars of music [e.g., VEP software instrument] play, then stop in mid playback, return to the beginning and hit play, audio of the previous bars bleeds through. I hear overlapping of say bar 4 when playing back bar 1. Has anyone experienced this in VE Pro with other DAWs? Let me know if I need to be any clearer. Thanks!
