  • Suddenly low volume on one instrument in VEP

    Help!!!

Suddenly all patches on one VEP instrument (15 patches) got very soft about -40 db on all patces!!

Its not VEP routing. If I route the instrument to an other output the level stays low.

If I duplicate the instrument it also have low level.

The Volume fader on the Instrument/PatchesImixer is all the way up.

If i Load a new patch into "the low level Instrument", it gets the low level....

    All other Instrument are fine

Its not the sequenser. The audio output from the VEP track has identical in level in Cubase.

Is there a way to lower the level on all instruments on a VEP instrument without using the fader????

  •  Draging the Volum fader (Master Volume to the right of the keyboard) up and down just scaled the low volume.

Assigning a MIDI controller to the volume fader and sending controller values (127), solved the problem......

  •  Its even worse!

All of my instruments Master faders had different levels. Attaching a MIDI controller "resets" the fader (volume).

  • Is it possible that your MIDI controller (volume fader, in this case) is sending sporadically? When the contacts are dirty, for example, it can generate data, sometimes without even touching the fader.

If you're in Logic, you can cable a Monitor object to your routing in Environment to see what MIDI messages your channel strips have received.
