    Hello:

    I've looked all over for the answer to this question. I have a G5 PPC and a Sony Vaio

    laptop. I want to use the Sony Vaio (PC) as the slave computer which will host my virtual instruments.

    The G5 mac will run my DAW which is DP 7. Do I need to install VE Pro on BOTH computers, or only

    on the computer that will host the virtual instruments? (I'm hoping the Mac will see the VI's on the Sony via the

    Ethernet connection and doesn't need VE Pro installed on it as well as the Sony.)

    Next question- if I do need to install VE Pro on both computers, can I install it on my G5 running Tiger (OSX 10.4.1)

    if I'm only using the G5 for my DAW and not the VI's?

    Dear Tom,

    you´ll need to install Vienna Ensemble PRO on both computers. OS 10.4 is not actively supported but basically it should be working. Your questions are also answered in our Manual. Please have a look at page 4 ff.
