    Windows 64XP (slave), Realtek (onboard LAN), 12 gigs RAM

    Inexplicably, today when launched VE Pro 64 (build 4657), my computer froze. Had to do a hard reboot. Tried deleting, then reinstalling but am getting the same freeze whenever I try to launch VE Pro. Until today, I've only had problems with clicks and pops. VE PRO has launched everytime.

    Anyone have an idea why something like that might happen -- out of the blue, so to speak?

     Sorry! Nevermind. I may still having issues with the Asus motherboard.....

    I also experienced the lockup while trying to uninstall Avast...
