Just noticed that in the latest release, the channel strip names do not center when compressed unless the strip is the active strip. Once the focus is moved to another strip, the name becomes left justified. This is only happening when the strip is made narrow. Original release, the strip name centered which worked good for short names like FL-3, EH1, etc.......
Left centered is to only chance that you have control what is visible in the narrow view. Centered would give you a kind of random selection, depending how long the name is.
If you name the channel strips just keep in mind that the first digits should give you enough information about the full channel name.

Agree Herb... I think I stated it wrong. What seems to be happening is the 2 or 3 character name is moving to the right. Maybe I should have said that it is displaying right justified. I just tried it again and now it works ok.... Not sure what that was all about. I was duplicating channel strips at the time (which originally had a long name) and renamed them. Then I shrunk the channel and noticed that the first letter was starting in the center and the other two were truncated (hidden) at the right side. I tried making them large followed by shrinking again but the display was the same.
Don't know why their ok now. I haven't reloaded VE -- just saved it a few times since I wrote the post here. Will keep my eyes open to see if it surfaces again -- try to see what combination caused it. For now, it's good.

Herb,The label justification issue showed up again. Once I saved the program, the justification corrected itself. I was relabeling when it occurred. I will email you two tiffs that show before and after the save so that you can see what I'm seeing.

I understand Paul on the minor bug. I love VSL so much that I guess I take some personal ownership into it even though I don't work for VSL. I know I was very frustrated over the whole 64-bit Mac thing and I know it wasn't your team's fault. I also know that you guys are light years ahead of everyone else and pressing the outer boundaries can be a challenge. Not to do so means you as a company would not continue to grow. The main thing here is I didn't want your team to think that I was a chronic complainer and that I wasn't making up something that I couldn't at the time when I wrote the post replicate.
