    And this is the one with most of my licenses on it.

    so, what's the procedure here? (I saw nothing at FAQ actually). Obviously I can't transfer from a key which won't even insert now. So I need a replacement key? Actually how can anyone tell what's on this key?

    The licenses which I need to download to a new key (I have another key already):

    DL Bass Waterphone

    DL Glass Instruments

    DL Overdrive standard and Overdrive extended

    DL XXL Tam standard and extended

    Epic Orchestra

    SE Percussion standard and extended

    and a Vienna Ensemble 3, and a Vienna Suite license

    As no doubt you will have registered your key here, VSL will problaby know what's on your key. I suggest you contact support immediately, as they will need to issue new licences, but you may have to send the broken key in first.

    I did finally realize that a registered key would reveal all but it appears I had NOT registered this key.

    EDIT: I have since retrieved the key number from Steinberg Support and registered the number here.

    I have contacted support. So far there has been no automated response to the support request.

    Dear civilization 3,

    I found a "pending license" transfer on your Vienna Key No. 39xxxx and this is most likely the cause for the problem. Please restart, then download and install the latest version of eLCC . Make sure that the respective Vienna Key is connected and launch eLCC. Press the "Recover" button several times then.

    This should solve the problem.

    no, it's not a software issue at all, it's a broken key; it's physically damaged, and now that I tried to squeeze it into something which would contact with the USB port, it's in two pieces. I was planning to move these licenses to a brand new key, but this old dongle didn't make it. I need the licenses taken off that key so I can download to the new key.

    I have had a support request in since Friday morning. It is now Monday evening.
