    Hi there, I've got my main template in Logic (8.02) with some VE PROs going to the host and 1 slave. The template is saved with the VE plug in "connect" mode. I tried opening the session without the VE server running on the host or slave computer, but the session wont open, Logic doesn't even get to loading in the exs insts before crashing. Err, panic! This can't be right? What if I change my computer setup in the future, my old Logic projects wouldn't open, as they couldn't connect to the same VE server. If I disconnect all the VE PRO the session will open without the VE servers running, but surely you don't have to disconnect every VE PRO plug at the end of working on a project before saving?     It will try to connect for some time but will eventually timeout. There whould be no crashes occuring. If you have a crash, please attach the crash log.

    Thank you for the quick reply Martin. You're right. I tried it again and Logic doesn't fully crash. The session does actually start to open after literally 6 minutes of hanging! So the major panic is averted. However it would be nice to be able to open my template without the slave PC being on, if it were for a project that doesn't require those VE Pros, without that 6 minute delay. - dunno, does 6 mins sound right? thx
