Are you trying to load Protools at the same time as the standalone, or the plugin within Protools?

This is what I'm trying to understand. Is the PT driver multi client? If not, then you can't run the standalone at the same time as PT. However, you can use VE Pro as a plugin. If you say exactly what you hope to achieve, then maybe I will have some suggestions, but at the moment I'm really not sure what you are trying to do. Sorry.

What I am wanting to do is run it just as I do VE2; Which I know you know one would open PT, instantiate VE2 & it opens Ensemble & I'm off to work immediately... Now, I'm not sure I am in full understanding of the whole network/server thing which may be my problem; On this particular computer it is host only & I have no network on it so I have all the network opts disabled on it & as for the preference you've asked me about, I do not/have not seen that option in VEP...
OK, you really need to read the manual. However......
You should now be ready to rock 'n roll.

Oh, 1 thing which may be my idiot question of the day, VE server & VE Program, are they 1 in the same or is the VE server something else all together? Thatz mainly where I'm getting confused just being honest...
You mean another idiot question...! [;)]
VE Pro and VE Pro server are not the same thing. Clicking VE Pro will load a standalone. VE Pro server will load just that; the VE Pro server, and it needs to be loaded before you can use the plugin in your sequencer.
