Hello All,
I'm thinking of purchasing a PC to properly run MIR with a fairly large orchestra. I want to make sure the equipment I'm getting is right, so I was thinking, why not find out what others are using to run it properly? I really don't want to invest in hardware that will fail me in the end. So what do you use to run MIR and how many instruments are on stage?
The PC I want to get is:
CPU: 2 x X5550 (8MB, 2.66 GHz, 6.40 GT/s)
RAM: 24GB (1333Mhz, 6 x 4GB)
Motherboard: ??? I have no idea, I heard the intel MB is too noisy.
Audio Interface: ??? I have no idea as well, what's out there that supports MIR's requirements (multi-client, Asio 2.9..etc)
Sequencer: Cubase 5
GPU: DX10 compliant Nvidia card (don't care much)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
My apologies if a smiliar thread has been made here before. I'd really appreciate any guidance in this :)
