Thanks Paul ! I found it and everything's installed and downloaded -including the video tutorials so I'm going to enjoy myself watching and discovering tomorrow !
All the best,
Kay.
Oops - something did go wrong with the download: In the Vienna Suite Folder- in Applications -there is Vienna Suite Uninstaller but NO Vienna Suite.
How come ?
What do I do now ?
Kay
Heya ,
That is normal now you just need log them in your DAW as a normal plugin. You should find a vienna suite in you plugins list with all vienna suite plugins in. Enjoy them ^.^
Gilles
Well- thanks for answering me, Gilles. I checked in Logic ( my DAW ) and Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble are there but no Suite.
I then checked Library/Audio/Plugins but there's no sign of it.
Do you know anywhere else it could be hiding ?
Thanks, Kay.
Hi Paul,
You give such fantastic support - I wasn't expecting any more replies from Europe tonight !
I followed what you suggested but it didn't show up.
Shall I delete the current folder in Applications which only contains the Uninstaller, and then re-download the Suite ?
That'll be tomorrow though- I have to be up to teach in four hours so I'm going to bed now.
Thanks again, Kay.
Hi Paul,
I uninstalled then downloaded again. The download was successful but the Suite still didn't show up in Logic. When I looked in Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
I found folders which belong to the Suite eg. VSL Convolution Reverb.vst. There are 9 folders in all. But when I clocked on one, I got a window which said: There is no default application to open the document 'VSL Anayzer.vst"
So they are there.
Before downloading the Suite, I ran Disc Utility to Repair Permissions, so this ought to be OK.
I've got Tiger 10.4.11 by the way.
Bye for now,
Kay.
Hello Paul,
Success at last ! After a restart Logic updated it's Audio Manager files and has added the individual components of the Suite to the list.
But where should I be able to find them in the channel strip settings ? Under the AU list, I have Vienna Ensemble and Instruments. I checked up under EQ, to see whether the individual components were placed in their relevant categories, and not altogether but couldn't find the VS EQ's.
Do you access VS from the VE or VI windows after opening these ?
..... getting nearer and nearer ........... !
Kay.
