  • sequencer alternation

I noticed that the alternation tool functions perfectly when I play from the keyboard in real time, but when playing the exact same thing via the internal sequencer launched by GS there is no alternation, though the legato works. I have the alternation set up normally and noticed when viewing the sub menu that there is no visible alternation between 1 & 2 either. I even did a short test making a recording of alternation staccato during which I heard the alternation as I recorded, but upon playing it back there is only one sample. Do you know what's going on here? Thanks.

  • Additionally -- the in port on the performance tool is set to the audio hardware, the out port to nemesys midi, while in GS the port is set as none and then port 2 hardware, as required in the manual. With this set up there is no alternation on playing back the internally launched sequencer. Has anyone noticed this?

  • you mention *internal sequencer* - does that mean a sequencer, running on the same machine?

if so, you need to route the midi-out from your sequencer via a virtual midi-pipe to the performance-tool an from there to GS (nemesis-port)

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Thanks for the info, Christian.
