  • VE Pro: HUGE Performance Gain on Mac Pro

I have to give gratefull compliments to the The VE Pro Software beeing THE SOFTWARE of 2009 or of the decennium without exaggeration. At least for us Orchestra-Fans or anybody dreaming of running huge templates

I don't know who saw my painfull results using many exses in Logic I posted in many forums at the beginning of 2008? Logics performance even know on Logic 9.0.1 is still much better (with more exs instances playing) when 7 of the 8 cores were DEACTIVATED than it did with the 8 cores! With other words its performance is very unusable for huge templates. I had to keep it running with 7 deactivated cores. This Nightmare is over, the Mac Pro finally gets util until now.

So Finally many unfulfilled wishes are coming true at once!!

  • Oh and one more thing. Is it an illusion or did I just make a blazingly fast OFFLINE BOUNCE (in Cubase on the Mac) using all 8 cores of VE Pro? I Can't believe it. Because we had been tolled many years that an Offline Bounce can only use 1 Core. Maybe I'm wrong but I found the Bounce extremely quick...wow!

  • Perhaps Cubase's internal processing for audio and native plugins is limited to one core, but because VE Pro is not only a separate process but is multi-core, I wouldn't doubt that could contribute to faster offline bounces.
