For those of you who have Logic Pro 8 and VE Pro, you might have an issue with an crash that occurs because of a BAD_ACCESS exception within VE Pro. This occurs right after Logic Pro loads and VE Pro (which was loaded PRIOR to Logic) begins to - or attempts - to read data. It looks for the data on starting at some address that does not belong to the application, therefore crashing VE Pro. What to do if you have this problem:
Before leaving Logic Pro 8, turn on BYPASS on ALL instances of Vienna Ensemble Pro. When you go back to Logic Pro 8, say, the next day, everything loads perfectly. THEN you can take off bypass and things will go smoothly.
